Sayyid Al-Hakeem Joins Voice with Secretary-General's Briefing to UN Security Council

Sayyid Ammar Al-Hakeem, Head of the National State Powers' Alliance, shared the concern expressed by the UN Secretary-General, Mr. António Guterres, over the tragic consequences of israel’s bombing campaign on Lebanon and its resilient, steadfast people. This was stated in a post on the Telegram Channel:

“We share the concern expressed by the UN Secretary-General, Mr. António Guterres, over the tragic consequences of israel’s bombing campaign on Lebanon and its resilient, steadfast people. Joining our voice with the Secretary-General’s briefing to the UN Security Council, we stress the significance of his precise diagnosis and his direct assertion that Israel’s military, with its war machine, has deliberately launched what he described as deadly strikes on densely populated areas. He also highlighted the danger of widespread forced displacement under the relentless barrage of missiles targeting civilians from land, air, and sea.
Mr. Guterres' warning about the potential -as he addressed "hell"- that may unfold in Lebanon serves as an explicit recognition of the hostile approach adopted by the occupying force in this unjust war, and its blatant disregard for international conventions, UN treaties, and rules of engagement, which establish that homes, places of worship, hospitals, and essential institutions are off-limits in warfare.
Therefore, in line with these points, we urge the UN Security Council, the United Nations, and their humanitarian and legal bodies to take all necessary actions to compel israel to halt its aggression in Lebanon and Palestine immediately. We welcome international calls for a ceasefire in Lebanon and Gaza, paving the way for the cessation of hostilities, the return of displaced persons, and the commencement of reconstruction efforts.”
