Sayyid Al-Hakeem meets Fayli National Movement, calls to grant Faylis’ legal and constitutional rights

Sayyid Ammar Al-Hakeem, Head of the National State Powers' Alliance, met with a delegation from the Kurdish Fayli National Movement, led by Mr. Muneer Haddad. After hearing their vision and objectives, His Eminence underscored the longstanding ties that unite them with this esteemed community. H.E. recalled Imam Sayyid Muhsin Al-Hakeem’s (may Allah sanctify his soul) relationship with the Fayli Kurds, noting that H.E. Sayyid Muhsin Al-Hakeem would sometimes stay in the homes of prominent Fayli figures during his visits to Baghdad, thereby emphasizing the importance of this genuine community.
H.E. also called for the constitutional and legal rights of the Fayli Kurds to be upheld and for them to be compensated for the layered discrimination they have endured—targeted at times for their ethnicity and at other times for being followers of Ahl Al-Bayt (peace be upon them). H.E. affirmed that the Fayli Kurds are a unique and integral part of Iraqi society, adding valuable diversity. Additionally, H.E. stressed the importance of unity within the Fayli community and the need for Kurdish representatives who understand their specific needs and conditions. H.E. also expressed our satisfaction with the representation of this community within Iraq’s three presidencies.
