Sayyid Al-Hakeem Meets Chinese Ambassador to Iraq
Sayyid Ammar Al-Hakeem, Head of the National State Powers' Alliance, met His Excellency Cui Wei, the Chinese Ambassador to Baghdad, and discussed regional political developments, particularly the recent events in Syria and their repercussions on Iraq. The discussions also explored avenues for strengthening bilateral relations between Baghdad and Beijing, emphasizing the importance of advancing these ties to serve the mutual interests of both nations.
His Eminence underscored the significance of maintaining and enhancing Iraq's current stability, reiterating that Iraq’s stability is a cornerstone for regional and global security, as proven by past experiences.
H.E. also pointed out that Iraq is on the brink of a transformative phase in construction, reconstruction, services, and development, which are top priorities at this stage.
Furthermore, H.E. called on the international community to fulfill its responsibilities regarding the situation in Gaza, urging efforts to ensure a ceasefire, rebuild cities, and facilitate the return of displaced individuals.
