    Sayyid Al-Hakeem Receives Kirkuk Governor, Emphasizes Kirkuk Success Is Success for All of Iraq

    Sayyid Ammar Al-Hakeem, Head of the National State Powers Alliance, received Kirkuk Governor, Mr. Rebwar Taha, accompanied by the Deputy Governor and a number of senior provincial officials. H.E. reaffirmed that Kirkuk represents a microcosm of Iraq, stating that success in Kirkuk signifies success for the entire country. H.E. stressed the importance of ensuring that the local government is inclusive and that districts and sub-districts receive the same level of attention as the central areas.
    H.E. emphasized the need for openness to all political and social powers within the province and called for direct engagement with the people of Kirkuk from all communities. H.E. noted that local governments are fundamentally service-oriented institutions, and those in leadership positions must instill this philosophy and turn it into a culture to ensure tangible benefits now and in the future.
    H.E. highlighted the importance of leveraging Kirkuk’s agricultural, industrial, and oil potential. H.E. urged Kirkuk and other local governments to intensify efforts to attract investments and diversify revenue sources. H.E. also underscored the necessity of coordination and integration with the federal government, Iraqi institutions, and universities to address challenges and achieve sustainable progress.
