Sayyid Al-Hakeem Emphasizes Empowering Syrians to Make Political Decisions and Manage Their Country
Sayyid Ammar Al-Hakeem, Head of the National State Powers Alliance, met with the Head of the Arab Project, Sheikh Jamal Al-Dari, to discuss the latest political developments in Iraq and the region, particularly the situation in Syria. H.E. emphasized the importance of enabling the Syrian people to make their own political decisions and manage their country. H.E. reiterated the call for general preparedness in response to developments in Syria, commending the efforts of the security forces and the Popular Mobilization Forces in this regard.
H.E. stated that the priority in facing challenges is national unity and solidarity, emphasizing the need to regulate internal discourse and reject any rhetoric that seeks to exploit the situation for personal gain. H.E. also pointed out that the current social and political realities differ significantly from those in 2014, stressing that the cohesion of Iraqi society and the political awareness of the public are key to ensuring Iraq emerges from these events without significant losses.
