    Sayyid Al-Hakeem Meets National Stance Movement Leader, Stresses Need for Government That Meets Kurdish People’s Aspirations

    As part of his visit to Sulaymaniyah, Sayyid Ammar Al-Hakeem, Head of the National State Powers Alliance, met with Mr. Ali Hama Saleh, Head of the National Stance Movement, and senior members of the movement.
    At the start of the meeting, His Eminence extended congratulations to the political powers in the Kurdistan Region on the successful completion of recent elections. H.E. emphasized the importance of translating this success into the formation of a government capable of meeting the aspirations of the Kurdish people and fostering stability and development.
    H.E. highlighted the substantial changes Iraq has experienced in recent years, noting that Iraq in 2025 is markedly different from Iraq in 2014. H.E. underscored the country’s enhanced ability to confront regional challenges with greater strength and resilience. H.E. also expressed his firm belief in Iraq’s capacity to overcome these challenges through national cohesion and the unity of its diverse communities.
    Concluding the meeting, H.E. stressed the importance of maintaining readiness and bolstering cooperation among all political powers in Iraq to ensure stability and progress in the coming phase.
