Sayyid Al-Hakeem Affirms Arab-Kurdish Strong Ties, Calls to Diversify Sulaymaniyah’s Economy, Grow Investments
During a visit to the home of Sheikh Awat Al-Qameshi in Sulaymaniyah, Sayyid Ammar Al-Hakeem, Head of the National State Powers Alliance, met with members of the Sulaymaniyah Chamber of Commerce and local dignitaries. His Eminence emphasized the deep historical bond between Arabs and Kurds, acknowledging the leadership figures who have strengthened this relationship across generations.
H.E. noted that Iraq is experiencing a phase of stability and positive progress following years of significant challenges. H.E. affirmed that this period provides an opportunity for recovery and sustainable growth. H.E. reiterated the importance of diversifying Iraq’s national income sources, moving away from a rentier economy, and prioritizing productive sectors such as agriculture and industry. H.E. also encouraged investment in tourism and modern technology.
H.E. stressed the need to enhance Iraq’s investment environment by creating favorable conditions for attracting investments and implementing reforms in the banking system to integrate external funds into the national economy. H.E. highlighted that such measures are vital for stimulating economic growth and generating new job opportunities.
