Sayyid Al-Hakeem Meets Leaders of Al-Matawha Tribe in Nineveh, Emphasizes Social Unity and Managing Diversity
During his visit to Nineveh, Sayyid Ammar Al-Hakeem, leader of the National State Forces Alliance, met with a large group of elders and leaders from Al-Matawha Tribe of the esteemed Al-Hadidiyeen clan, led by Sheikh Abdul Hamoud Sabak Al-Hadidi. The meeting was a significant stop in his tour of the region.
The discussion addressed various issues affecting Iraq in general and Nineveh in particular. Sayyid Al-Hakeem highlighted Nineveh’s central role in Iraq’s history, culture, and diversity, noting that the province had endured immense challenges during the Daesh invasion. However, through great sacrifices, Iraqis bravely fought and succeeded in liberating the region.
Sayyid Al-Hakeem emphasized the value of social harmony, stating, “Our greatest capital is our social cohesion. We must continue to strengthen unity among Iraq’s communities, turning diversity into a vital resource for the nation’s benefit.” H.E. reiterated that Iraq’s diversity is a source of strength that should be leveraged to advance the country’s national interests and its regional and international standing.
He also reviewed progress in Nineveh’s reconstruction efforts, pointing out that since 2003, Iraq has faced regional challenges that created internal divisions. Despite these obstacles, the country has managed to navigate them through solidarity among political forces and guidance from the highest religious authority.
Expressing solidarity with Syria, Sayyid Al-Hakeem wished the Syrian people peace, stability, and a swift recovery from their hardships, hoping for prosperity and security for the nation.
He stressed the importance of internal unity in Iraq, built on mutual trust and adherence to political agreements, steering away from rivalry and division.
