Sayyid Al-Hakeem Highlights Iraq's Diversity, Regional Stability Role with Nineveh's Sheiks, Dignitaries

Sayyid Ammar Al-Hakeem, Head of the National State Powers Alliance, visited the residence of Dr. Khalid Al-Obaidi in Nineveh, where His Eminence met with several sheiks and dignitaries from the province. During the meeting, H.E. extended his blessings for the holy month of Rajab and reflected on the longstanding history of cooperation between Nineveh and Iraq. H.E. recalled the legacy of Grand Ayatollah Sayyid Mohsin Al-Hakeem (may Allah sanctify his soul), Shaheed Al-Mihrab, and Aziz Al-Iraq (may Allah sanctify their souls), emphasizing that Iraqis have always shown resilience in transforming challenges into opportunities for societal strength and progress.
Sayyid Al-Hakeem affirmed that Iraq’s true strength lies in its rich diversity, which not only solidifies the nation’s social fabric but also enables Iraq to play a pivotal role in the region. H.E. pointed out that the harmonious coexistence among Iraq’s diverse communities could serve as a model to ease tensions and bridge divides in the region, all while safeguarding Iraq’s distinct identity and national interests.
H.E. also highlighted the significance of the upcoming Baghdad Summit, viewing it as a vital opportunity for Iraq to regain its regional and international standing. Through fostering constructive relations with neighboring countries, Iraq could leverage its unique position to benefit both the nation and the broader region.
Sayyid Al-Hakeem advocated for an approach focused on "zero crises," urging all parties to rise above minor disputes, focus on positives, and strike a balance between addressing challenges and celebrating achievements to achieve lasting stability.
In closing, Sayyid Al-Hakeem underscored the importance of unity and collaboration among Iraq’s communities, reiterating that Iraq’s strength stems from its cohesion and diversity. H.E. called on all stakeholders to work together to elevate Iraq’s position on the regional and international stage.
