    Sayyid Al-Hakeem Visits Tal Afar, Calls to Elevate to ‘Province’ Status

    During a visit to the resilient district of Tal Afar, the Head of the National State Powers Alliance, Sayyid Ammar Al-Hakeem, met with a group of esteemed figures, tribal leaders, and residents of the district. At the beginning of the gathering, Sayyid Al-Hakeem expressed his condolences on the anniversary of the passing of Lady Zainab (peace be upon her), reflecting on the shared struggles and sacrifices that have historically united the Iraqi people with the honorable Turkmen community.
    His Eminence highlighted Tal Afar's vital role as a "cornerstone triangle" in defending Iraq and acknowledged the heavy toll it endured under terrorist attacks. H.E. praised the resilience and steadfastness of Tal Afar’s people, which preserved the district’s honor and spirit, emphasizing the importance of facilitating the return of all displaced families to their homes.
    Addressing Iraq’s journey toward stability, Sayyid Al-Hakeem noted the tremendous sacrifices made by its people to achieve victory. H.E. stated: “The road to victory was paved with blood and tears. Today, we witness a period of security, political, and social stability, where our security forces have transitioned from reactive to proactive measures.”
    On the subject of Iraq’s diversity, Sayyid Al-Hakeem reaffirmed the importance of safeguarding this richness and empowering all components of Iraqi society. H.E. stressed that every community should have a meaningful role in shaping the nation’s future, both within and beyond Iraq's borders, emphasizing that this diversity is a source of strength and enrichment for the country.
