    Sayyid Al-Hakeem Receives Al-Fayyadh, Affirms PMF’s Independence, Clear from Political Competition

    Sayyid Al-Hakeem, Head of the National State Powers Alliance, received this evening in his office the Head of the Popular Mobilization Authority, Mr. Falih Al-Fayyadh. The meeting explored developments in the political landscape, particularly following Iraq’s successful organization of the recent parliamentary elections.
    His Eminence underscored the significance of the Popular Mobilization Authority as an essential component of Iraq’s security structure and stressed the need to preserve its independence and keep it away from political competition.
    Regarding the elections, H.E. commended the efforts that contributed to the success of this democratic process, one that remains rare in the region, calling for electoral pledges to be turned into well-designed plans of action that address the aspirations of the Iraqi people.
    H.E. also emphasized the importance of maintaining stability in Iraq, explaining that stability spans the security, political, and social spheres, and placing on all parties the responsibility of safeguarding it in honor of the sacrifices and the blood of the martyrs.
