Sayyid Al-Hakeem stresses preserving political, social, security stability achievement

Sayyid Ammar Al-Hakeem, Head of Al-Hikma National Movement, met with the British Ambassador to Iraq, His Excellency Stephen Hitchen on 26/11/2023, and discussed views on the political developments in Iraq and the broader region. His Eminence also delved into talks regarding the bilateral relations between our two nations and explored avenues for leveraging the promising opportunities emerging in Iraq within the realms of reconstruction and development.
H.E. stressed the significance of safeguarding the accomplishments made, emphasizing that the foremost achievement lies in achieving stability—be it in terms of security, politics, or society. Additionally, H.E. highlighted the importance of prioritizing economic considerations and diversifying resources.
Moreover, H.E. advocated for an extension of the ceasefire in Gaza and stressed the imperative to cease hostilities, provide aid to the Palestinian population, reconstruct the city, and facilitate the return of displaced individuals. H.E. placed the responsibility on the international community to put an end to the moral breakdown evident when fundamental concepts of human rights, freedom of expression, and the rights of women, children, and civilians are disregarded during times of conflict.
