Sayyid Al-Hakeem: Iraq Owns Unique, Pioneering Democratic Regional Experience, needs Reinforcement, Support
Sayyid Ammar Al-Hakeem, Head of the National State Powers' Alliance, met with Her Excellency U.S. Ambassador to Baghdad, Ms. Alina Romanowski, as her tenure in Iraq draws to a close. His Eminence extended best wishes for her success in her future endeavors and discussed ways to strengthen bilateral relations between Iraq and the United States. H.E. emphasized Iraq’s significant progress in its democratic journey and the importance of safeguarding and advancing these achievements.
H.E. reiterated that the statement of the Supreme Religious Authority provides a clear roadmap for Iraq and its political powers. H.E. highlighted Iraq’s critical role in reducing tensions in the region and underscored the importance of maintaining its openness to neighboring and global countries in line with its national interests.
Additionally, H.E. stressed that Iraq’s stability is vital for the stability of the region and the world. We called for urgent efforts to end the war in Gaza and Lebanon and urged the international community to take responsibility for providing aid to displaced persons and rebuilding affected areas.
