Sayyid Al-Hakeem from Karbala: 2025 Elections Are Decisive to Establish Iraq Lasting Stability
From the sacred land of Karbala—where blood triumphed over the sword, where identity, cause, and faith converge—Sayyid Ammar Al-Hakeem, Head of the National State Powers Alliance, met with a group of sheiks, dignitaries, and residents of the holy governorate.
His Eminence called for remembering past achievements and looking ahead with confidence, affirming that neither the past is lost nor the future’s dreams are beyond reach, for both carry lessons and wisdom to guide the nation forward. H.E. explained that the 2005 elections laid the foundation for democracy, while the upcoming 2025 elections aim to consolidate lasting and sustainable stability.
H.E. stated: “Iraq has suffered from the cooperation between terrorism, in its many forms, and the remnants of the Ba’ath regime, as well as from the region’s misreading of the post-2003 reality.”
H.E. reminded that this cooperation began with the targeting of the United Nations mission and the assassination of its representative, followed by the martyrdom of the great religious authority Sayyid Mohammed Saeed Al-Hakeem (may his soul be sanctified) and the Martyr of the Mihrab (may his soul be sanctified), and the ensuing years of bloodshed that culminated in the rise of ISIS.
H.E. affirmed that 2025 represents a crossroads for Iraq—between fragile stability and sustainable stability—depending on wise choices and a strong sense of responsibility in decision-making.
H.E. urged voters to elect competent figures capable of driving change within their communities, emphasizing the importance of choosing representatives from among the people who truly reflect their needs and aspirations.H.E. stressed the need to intensify and focus efforts, noting that the National State Powers Alliance enjoys broad public acceptance and has presented distinguished candidates.
H.E. reiterated that genuine national projects begin on November 11, after which comes the time to reap positive results, recalling the “Karbala, Pride of Iraq” initiative and how it contributed to the city’s progress and development.
