Sayyid Ammar Al Hakim Calls Upon Iraqi Politicians to Unite Against ISIS and Stand by the Government
The head of the Islamic Supreme Council of Iraq, Sayyid Ammar Al Hakim, insisted that Iraqi politicians must unite against the aggression of ISIS and stand by the Iraqi government and state as they face dangers. His eminence criticized some people who look committed and adhering to principles but are in reality something else as they immediately disown the principles and the country’s higher interest as soon as Iraq goes through phases of trouble and confusion during the fierce war against ISIS. Sayyid Al Hakim urged the Iraqis with potentials, competences and degrees and the Iraqi brains not to leave the country just when they get a work opportunity abroad, assuring that Iraq needs its citizens especially those with great brains and competences.
This came during the Ramadan evening and the night of attack on Imam Ali (AS) held at his eminence’s office in Baghdad, on Monday, 6/7/2015.
Sayyid Ammar Al Hakim also called to take the priorities into account in the management and implementation of military plans and to stay away from wrong improvised decisions, mentioning the instructions of Imam Ali (AS) on the need to have a good attitude and keep harm away from the citizens residing in the regions where fighting is taking place and not intrude upon their property and money. His eminence pointed out that if it weren’t for the fatwa of the wise religious authority and for the participation of the popular crowd heroes in the battles, things would have taken other paths God forbid. He praised in this context the efforts deployed made by the patriotic politicians who work in silence to serve the people, away from the noise of the media that some use despite its uselessness in ensuring the people’s interests.
Furthermore, his eminence highlighted the complementarity and correlation between the position of the Prophet (PBUH) and Imam Ali (AS), explaining that the approach of Ali (AS) in different areas represents a prolongation of the prophet’s (PBUH), not only in Hidden aspects and Imamate but also in personal aspects. His eminence finally spoke of the strict and clear stances of Imam Ali (AS) regarding the fight against financial corruption and the use of crises in unjust enrichment.
