During his meeting with the youths involved in the Arab Youth Summit in his office in Baghdad on Friday November 13th, 2015, His Eminence called to remove the wrong image of Iraqi reality among Arab brothers since Iraqi nation is made up of sects and components.  He also pointed out that frustration is a common feature among Arab youth because Arab countries are passing through a state of civilization setback.

Al-Hakim declared that there is a contradiction in Arab positions. Those who assume an attitude toward Iraq are themselves the ones who call more than once to intervene in this or that country in order to resolve the conflict for one party against another. Moreover, he added that the city of Baghdad enjoys life in spite of all what happened to it, calling upon youths to identify their priorities and plans. He also stressed that Arab society is a society of youths as the proportion of its youths reached 70%. His Eminence warned of plans that surround Arab society and target its unity, believing that sectarianism is the most dangerous matter that targets unity. Furthermore, he indicated that sectarianism means reading and it is a source for enriching the community.

For him, sectarianism is a resentment and whoever claims it is not able to accept or see the other.
