    Sayyid Ammar Al-Hakim calls for the establishment of a special court for corruption and the repudiation of the corrupt regardless of their affiliations regardless of their affiliations

    Sayyid Ammar Al-Hakim, chairman of the Islamic Supreme Council of Iraq, called for the establishment of a special court to fight corruption and prosecute the corrupt in a similar fashion to the court that was established for prosecution of the ousted Saddam regime’s cronies, stressing the need to close the legal gaps that performs as outlets for corruption and the enactment of laws that limit manipulation in public Fund.

    His Eminence stressed the importance of transparency in the fight against corruption and not to politicize the case, confuse cases and negative circularization, explaining the importance of the complementary relationship between the legislative and executive authorities, pointing to the importance of protecting the interrogations from political suspicions and pressures, in order to be conducted according to the mechanics of democracy away from clamoring, stressing the importance of the enactment the Federal Court law and a new electoral law, and conduct the next two upcoming electoral practices on one-day to compress expenses and avoid political debate, especially that Iraq is on the verge of the post-ISIS phase, plus decreasing the age of candidacy and reducing the number of members.

    His Eminence stressed on communication with the neighboring countries to explain the facts of Iraq, stressing that the Mosul is Iraq’s final battle with ISIS, and it is necessary to study post-ISIS phase. his eminence diagnosed the crisis in Iraq as a crisis of management at all levels, stressing the importance of accepting the parliamentary system as a whole along with its pros and cons, calling to focus on achievements; like the certainty of every one of the importance of the political practice and the Constitution as a ruling reference to everyone.
