    Head of the National Iraqi Alliance, Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim meets head of the Iraqi-French Friendship Society Mr. Jaques Puerede

    Head of the National Iraqi Alliance, Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim meets head of the French- Iraqi Friendship Association and discussed ways to strengthen ties between the two countries. Head of the National Iraqi Alliance, Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim, urged to strengthen bilateral relations and increase cooperation between Iraq and France in various aspects.

    This took place during his eminence meeting the head of the Iraqi-French Friendship Society and chairman of the Security and Defense Committee in the French Parliament, Mr. Jacques Puerede and his accompanying delegation at his eminence office in Baghdad Saturday, 26.11.2016.

    The meeting was attended by the French ambassador in Baghdad and Iraq\'s ambassador to Paris and chairman and members of the Foreign Relations Committee in the Iraqi Parliament,

    Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim discussed the developments of (We Are Coming Ninawah) operations and victories achieved on the terrorist clique of Daesh.

    \r\n

    His eminence praised the high coordination between the various security forces, the Iraqi army and police, the popular mobilization forces and the Peshmerga, which was one of the main reasons for achieving victories, stressing the need for synchronizing military victory with political progress to contain the fallout following the liberation of Nineveh, in addition to the importance of national reconciliation, his eminence pointed out that terrorism targeted all components of Iraqi society in an effort to disrupt the unity of Iraqis, but homeland liberation operations from the defiled Daesh had confirmed the strength of the cohesion of Iraqi people and their coexistence in a united Iraq.

    Mr. Puerede stressed the keenness of France to support Iraq in its war against terrorism and its support to the reconstruction of liberated areas of , referring to the need to strengthen cooperation between the French and Iraqi parliament, and the exchange of parliamentary experiences.
