Head of the National Iraqi Alliance, Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim: the National Iraqi Alliance protects the unity of Iraq and defends the rights of the Iraqi people

The central Shura council of the al-Mehrab martyr Movement in its meeting held on Monday 2/1/2017, mainly discussed the institutionalization of the National Iraqi Alliance and the national settlement bill and its importance as a project of the Iraqi state after the defeat of Daesh, meeting also discussed the regional and local visits of the National Iraqi Alliance and the impact of regional developments on the general situation in Iraq.

Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim stressed on the importance of intensifying efforts and continue meetings that aim to institutionalize the National Iraqi Alliance after the completion of its rules of procedure and starting the work of the ten committees emanating from intensive meetings, stressing that the National Iraqi Alliance expresses the concerns of the Iraqi people and its strength and cohesion as well as openness on the national arena and will be a factor of strength and stability for all Iraqis.

His Eminence explained that 2016 was a year of settlements and political solutions which actually happened in some international issues, such as Lebanon. 2017 will present a years to complete settlements like in Syrian that show signs of rapprochement, as well as the situation in Yemen, pointing out that Iraq is a part of the region and the national settlement bill made by the National Iraqi Alliance and received international , regional and national support and the National Iraqi Alliance promised to achieve more support for its success and the next few days will have large movements of the National Iraqi Alliance at the national and regional levels to clarify positions and deliver a clear vision for the project.

In the matter of security and developments in the We Are Coming, Nineveh operations and the recent bombings targeting a number of important areas in Iraq, Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim condemned and the attacks and expressed his sorrows for the casualties and injured individuals stressed the importance of taking the necessary security measures to prevent the recurrence of violations and proceeding to achieve more victories in Mosul until the end of the terrorist cliques of Daesh.
