Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim with the UN representative to discuss the national settlement and post-victory over Daesh
Head of the National Iraqi Alliance, Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim, in his office in Baghdad Thursday, 09.02.2017 received representative of the Secretary General of the United Nations in Iraq, Mr. Jan Kubis.
\r\nHis eminence discussed with Kubis the national settlement project and the role of the UN in the project’s promotion and presentation to partners in Iraq, and regionally promote the project as a national product of Iraq, indicating that the national settlement is the perfect choice for Iraq to get out of its political and security crises.
\r\nHis eminence covered the post-victory over terrorist Daesh, stressing that the military victory is eminent, but security remains a challenge plus addressing security and social breaches of Daesh that needs solutions according to visions that correspond with the size of the challenge.
\r\nin respect of societal solutions, his eminence indicated the need of everyone\'s efforts and benefit from the experiences of people that were exposed to social traumas, stressing that community reconciliation is an important segment in the national settlement clauses.
