    Meeting with a number of political and cultural figures in Egypt Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim: The next phase in Iraq will be the phase of national merging to produce a national majority

    Head of the National Iraqi Alliance, Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim, stressed that the next phase in Iraq will witness the integration of blocs in a national manner to form a ruling national majority and the opposition national majority, indicating that going to the national majority is very important versus the numerical majority that will lead to dismantling Daesh.

    This took place during his eminence heading the National Iraqi Alliance delegation visiting Cairo and meeting a number of political and cultural figures in Egypt Tuesday, 18/4/2017.

    His eminence reiterated his assertion that Iraq is folding the last page of war with Daesh and Iraqi presented a rich content lesson to all countries showing strength and ability to fight terrorism, pointing out that Iraq has chosen to confront Daesh in a form of a tight ring, either Daesh surrender or die, so as not to threaten other areas, reminding that Daesh received support from some countries and the carelessness of the international community in assuming its responsibilities until a number of countries became afflicted by Daesh.

    Regarding Iraq, his eminence emphasized that Iraq\'s priorities are unity, Arabism, sovereignty, the consolidation of democracy and building of the state of citizenship, and not the state of components, calling for a regional and international influence balance in Iraq, considering the national settlement project acceptable in principle, although details differed, but did not and will not include any Daesh element or whom are accused of shedding Iraqi blood.
