    Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim receives Ambassador of Turkey to Iraq Fatih Yildiz

    Head of the National Iraqi Alliance, Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim, reiterated his rejection of Turkish troops presence of in Iraq, pointing out that the Turkish presence in Iraq will not be forgotten by time, the Iraqis, the government of Iraq and the Iraqi House of Representatives reject this presence, and stressed that assistance provision to Iraq in fighting terrorism is carried out only through the Iraqi government and its consent, Turkish troops are no exception to all those who helped Iraq in its security ordeal.

    This took place during his eminence meeting Ambassador of Turkey to Iraq Mr. Fatih Yildiz Monday, May 8, 2017.

    His eminence indicated that terrorism is a trans-borders threat and is not to be fought through traditional methods as some would think, affirming that Iraq is seeking to cooperate with everyone, especially neighboring countries, to share information and fight against terrorism, intellectually, socially and culturally. His eminence urged everyone to pay attention to the necessity of fighting terrorism in Iraq after the end of the military page, and the necessity to contribute in reconstruction liberated cities and the cities of those who sacrificed, and let Iraqis to be in charge as they are the best to know their country.
