Head of the National Iraqi Alliance, Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim, met Speaker of the Iranian Shura Council Mr. Ali Larijani Tuesday 4/7/2017,
\r\nHis eminence with Mr. Larijani discussed the cooperation on legislative level and exchange of experiences between the Iraqi and Iranian parliamentary councils, discussions also covered the future of the region after a post-Daesh phase, stressing the need of everyone’s support as terrorism was able to maneuver in important areas in the region because of political differences and some sides were exploiting the situation to achieve political gains. His eminence called to learn from the Iraqi experience in the fight against terrorism that strengthened national unity, pointed out that the interest of all Iraqi components lies in a unified Iraq based on citizenship, and warned of consequences that will affect all countries of the region if Iraq is divided,
\r\nRegarding political analysis of Iraq in the next phase, his eminence reiterated that declaration of victory in Mosul will be the date of launching the national settlement project, pointed that it is a settlement based on guarantees, concessions and mutual reassurances with a government of the national majority that core components are actively presented and not only a numerical representation at which everyone are involved with the government, yet everyone criticizes and renounces the government.
