Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim with Iranian President Hassan Rouhani to discuss the latest developments in the political situation in the region
Head of the National Iraqi Alliance, Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim, during a visit to the Islamic Republic of Iran, his eminence met with the President of the Republic, His Eminence Sheikh Hassan Rouhani, at the latter\'s office Tuesday 4/7/2017.
\r\nHis eminence and Sheikh Rouhani discussed developments in the political situation in the region and the world and the fight against terrorism as it represent the main threat that targets everyone, his eminence praised the efforts made by the Islamic Republic of Iran in the fight against terrorism, including supporting Iraq in its critical battle with Daesh, which will be concluded in the near future.
\r\nHis eminence indicated that the victory of Iraqis over terrorism is a victory for all Iraqis and a victory for the world and for the supporters of the humanitarian projects campaign, stressed that the blood offered by the Iraqi people facing the Takfiri attack will make Iraq immune to the return of terrorism and rewarding all those who stood and supported and assisted Iraq with money or arms or advise or even media support to identify Daesh and their terrorist actions.
\r\nThe two sides agreed on the importance of dialogue as main way in solving the unsettled problems in the region or the world, the importance of Iraq to regain its regional roles after recovery from security and political crises.
