Sayyid Ammar Al-Hakim: our top priorities; creation of institutional tools for the junctions of the National Alliance and involve everyone in planning and decision making

After accessing the leadership of the National Alliance with an unanimous vote by the National Alliance’s leaders who wished that his eminence leadership will contributes to the elevate the National Alliance work to be an institutional venture that commensurate with its magnitude as the largest political bloc and the umbrella of the remaining blocs, Sayyid Ammar Al-Hakim, leader of the Iraqi National Alliance, identified the priorities of the National Alliance for the next phase is the creation of institutional tools in the junctions of the National Alliance and involving everyone in planning and decision making, plus activating of the political body and public authority, spreading the dialogue and communication approach, and finding solutions to Iraq issues, noting that it is also a priority to set sound healthy and interactive work relationships with other alliances in the national arena and establish a roof for higher national goals, identify the common points of agreements and collar the areas of differences, rebuild bridges of trust and communication .

This took place in a statement issued by his eminence marking his accession to the leadership of the National Alliance Tuesday, 06.09. 2016. 

His Eminence indicated that the new Iraq venture obliges us to strengthen the lines and reunification, review the practices and evaluate the results, consolidate teamwork approach and agree on strategic goals, counting the National Alliance is an essential cornerstone and a founder of the ongoing political process in Iraq, and the National Alliance’s relationship with other political powers alliance, considering the size of national space, represents the most important factor in determining the political and psychological environment for the general political situation.

His Eminence stressed that Iraq and in the midst of challenges need to rise above internal and intra differences and work in the spirit of the team, agree on a minimum range of common grounds and the make points of difference and intersection an opportunity for productive dialogue away from congestions and outbidding, complexity of past and harbingers of the present.

National Alliance leader described the task as (difficult), afterthought, but it is not impossible if sincere motives and intentions were presented, expressing his gratitude to Mr. Ibrahim Al-Jaafari for his efforts while leading the National Alliance, and thanked the leaders of the coalition for their trust and extended gratitude to political powers and figures that have sincerely expressed congratulations and agreement.

By the grace of God, the confidence of our fellows the leaders of the Iraqi National Alliance, we are honored to assume the responsibility of chairing the National Alliance.

The new venture of Iraq obliges us to strengthen the lines and reunification, review the practices and evaluate the results, consolidate teamwork approach and agree on strategic goals, the National Alliance is an essential cornerstone and a founder of the ongoing political process in Iraq, the National Alliance’s relationship with other political powers alliance, considering the size of national space, represents the most important factor in determining the political and psychological environment for the general political situation.

One of the most important priorities of the National Alliance that we will work on in the next phase is the creation of institutional tools in the junctions of the National Alliance and involving everyone in planning and decision making, plus activating of the political body and public authority, spreading the dialogue and communication approach, and finding solutions to Iraq issues, this will lead us to the second priority, to set sound healthy and interactive work relationships with other alliances in the national arena and establish a roof for higher national goals, identify the common points of agreements and collar the areas of differences, rebuild bridges of trust and communication .

The task is difficult, but it is not impossible, if sincere motives and intentions were presented.

I would like to extend my gratitude to my big brother, the honorable his excellency Mr. Ibrahim Al-Jaafari for his time, thoughts and efforts while leading the National Alliance with all determination and sincerity in recent years.

We forward our gratitude the leaders of the coalition for their trust asking for their support, and extended gratitude to all national political powers and figures that have sincerely expressed congratulations and agreement asking them to make this opportunity a moment to launch true work that observes the issues of the near past, understand the challenges of the future and plans for the future with hope and determination.
