Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim with the American ambassador to discuss developments of political scene and upcoming election
Head of the National Iraqi Alliance, Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim, in his office in Baghdad, received US Ambassador Douglas Silliman Tuesday 1/5/2018
His eminence with Silliman discussed developments of the political scene and the upcoming electoral practice in Iraq. His eminence stressed to perform elections in a stable and honest approach particularly in corrigundoms and broaden participation in the elections.
His eminence stressed the importance of electoral practice to give legitimacy to the political system in Iraq and to restitute the right to the Iraqi voter to re-elect those who are trust worthy and withdraw trust from who did not properly shouldered responsibility, pointed out that the electoral campaign of the Al-Hikma National Movement is characterized by seriousness and effectiveness and the use of civilized methods in direct communication with voters and the presentation of the electoral program.
Regarding regional issues, his eminence emphasized on the importance of dialogue as means of existing crises and warned of escalations that is not in the interest of region's people.
