Head of the Al-Hikma National Movement, Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim, in his office in Baghdad, received US Assistant Secretary of State, David Schenker Wednesday 26/6/2019 His eminence called on all sides in the region and the world to translate rejecting war and clashes to concrete steps that enable the region and its peoples to invest in their resources, reiterated rejecting the logic of sanctions, bands and starvation of peoples, and warned from negative impact of wars that effects all citing events in the Middle East that had wide consequences.
His eminence with Schenker discussed political situation in Iraq, and his eminence emphasized that the opposition adopted by the Al-Hikma National Movement is a constitutional right as it represents one of the two wings of democracy that would ratify political system, indicated that the opposition is aimed to evaluate and mend course of action and not seeking to target the government, and called for greater effort in combating corruption, providing services and job creation.
