Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim to the US ambassador .. Solutions must be made by Iraq for all crises in the country
Head of the Al-Hikma National Movement, Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim, met with the Ambassador of the United States of America, Mr. Matthew Tueller in Baghdad Thursday, 14/11/2019 and reiterated that solutions need to be a purely Iraqi solution to all crises of the country away from foreign interference. And indicated that the Al-Hikma National Movement as an opposition movement is following up and monitoring reform steps carried out by the government to answer demonstrators demands.
His eminence stressed the importance of protecting peaceful demonstrators and providing a safe environment to exercise their constitutional right, and the need to hold accountable those responsible for the loss of life and victims.
The US ambassador stressed on respect for the will of Iraqis and their ability to solve their internal issues, noted that the recent speech of the high religious authority regarding non-interference of other countries in the Iraqi issue is respected and appreciated.
