Sayyid Al-Hakeem assures peaceful demonstrations right, calls local and government authorities to consider demands
Sayyid Al-Hakeem, head of the National State Powers Alliance, assured the right to demonstrate peacefully to demand legitimate rights.
His Eminence tweeted over the events in Sulaymaniyah on Tuesday, November 23, 2021: “Our beloved Sulaymaniyah is witnessing unfortunate events that coincided with the demands of the university students, and clashes between demonstrators and security forces. We reiterate citizens’ right to demonstrate peacefully to demand legitimate rights.”
His Eminence urged everyone to exercise self-restraint and to abide by the peacefulness of the demonstrations and called upon the government and local authorities to consider the demands of the demonstrators and provide protection for them.
