Sayyid Al-Hakeem from Al-Deir District: Capitalize Northern Basra Touristically, Redress Farmers
During His Eminence’s visit to Al-Deir District in Basra Governorate, hosted at Sheikh Joudah Al-Khalifawi's guesthouse, Sayyid Ammar Al-Hakeem, Head of the National State Powers Alliance, emphasized the sacrifices made by Iraqis in resisting dictatorship and combating terrorism, recalling the blood and tears that shaped Iraq’s modern history.
Sayyid Al-Hakeem expressed his satisfaction with the positive developments in North Basra, highlighting the importance of enhancing services and capitalizing on the region’s strategic location to transform it into a tourist destination. H.E. stressed that the continuous progress in Basra and other governorates reflects Iraq’s recovery and resurgence.
H.E. also underscored the need to maintain political, social, security, and service stability, urging efforts to build upon achievements and further strengthen Iraq’s position domestically and internationally.
Addressing the agricultural sector, Sayyid Al-Hakeem called for justice for farmers by granting them the right to cultivate and rehabilitate lands. H.E. emphasized the need to protect local production and create job opportunities for the youth of North Basra, ensuring a better future for the region and its people.
