In a meeting with Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim, the British Ambassador Praises the Efforts of the Latter in Bringing Solutions to the Current Problems of Iraq

The British Ambassador to Iraq conveyed the high appreciation of the British government for the efforts of Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim in bringing the viewpoints of the Iraqi political leaders  closer and finding solutions to the current problems, saying he feels happy that Iraq is now free from the chapter 7 sanctions and enjoys its national sovereignty once again.
This came during a meeting between Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim, head of the Islamic Supreme Council of Iraq, and the British Ambassador to Iraqi, Simon Collis, held Monday, 1/7/2013 in his Eminence’s office in Baghdad.
During the meeting, both sides discussed the relations between both countries and how to cement them, not to mention the regional situation.
For his part, Sayyid al-Hakim said Iraq is interested in developing the relations between Iraq and the United Kingdom, showing that the fact that Iraq is now free from the chapter 7 sanctions gives it a greater opportunity to play a bigger regional and international role comparing to the previous years
