    Barzani, Praising Sayyid Ammar Al Hakim’s Visions: The Kurds’ Relationship With the Supreme Council is a Sacred Relationship That We Are Proud of

     
    The President of the Kurdistan region in Iraq, Massoud Barzani, assured that the relationship that joins the Kurds and the Supreme Council is sacred and a source of pride to the Kurds, reminding of the Fatwa of Imam Mohsen Al Hakim (May Allah Sanctify his Soul) that prohibits killing Kurds. He affirmed that Sayyid Ammar Al Hakim represents the prolongation of Al Hakim family, praising His Eminence’s brilliant visions and highlighting that circumstances are now favorable to take serious and practical steps towards achieving national reconciliation and protecting Iraq from the events occurring in its surrounding. This came when the Head of the Islamic Supreme Council, Sayyid Ammar Al Hakim, received in his Baghdad office, on Sunday, 7/7/2013, the President of the Kurdistan region in Iraq, Masoud Barzani, and an accompanying high-level delegation. 
    Sayyid Al Hakim considered the visit of His Excellence President of the Kurdistan region in Iraq, Masoud Barzani, as a significant message that enhances national concord and confirms that Iraqis, no matter how diverse, belong to one country of which they are proud. His Eminence pointed out that President Barzani is a great and important actor in the national project, indicating that His Excellence has sponsored the Erbil Initiative in one of the most important phases in the history of Iraq and considering that His Excellence is an influential person in the administration of internal and regional issues.
    His Eminence assured that the visit illustrated the integrity between the federal government and the Kurdistan government on the basis of the partnership between constituents, lauding the relationship that had joined, and still is joining, the Supreme Council and the Kurds and describing it as a deep-rooted relation. His Eminence also called for an exchange of expertise between the new provincial governments and the Kurdistan region in Iraq. 
    It is worth mentioning that the meeting was attended by leading figures in the Supreme Council like Sheikh Hamam Hamoudi, Mr. Sadr Al Din Al Qubanji, Sheikh Mohamed Taqi Al Mawla, Mr. Baqir Jabr, head of the Citizen Bloc in the parliament, and a number of Iraqi leaders, including Mr. Mohammad Bahr al-Ulloum, Dr. Ibrahim Bahr al-Ulloum, leader of the Sunni Endowment, Sheikh Ahmed Al-Samarrai, Mr. Qassem Daoud,  Sharif Ali bin al-Hussein and MP Safia Al-Suhail.
    Attendees praised Sayyid Ammar Al Hakim and the role he is playing in bringing political leaders closer together and welcomed Mr. Masoud Barzani in the house of all Iraqis, the house of Al Hakim family.
