    In His Meeting with the Italian Ambassador, Sayyid Ammar Al Hakim Stresses the Need to Mend Fences Between the Two Countries in Different Areas

    The Head of the Islamic Supreme Council of Iraq, Sayyid Ammar Al Hakim, stressed the need to strengthen the relationships and cooperation between Ira and Italy in different areas, especially the cultural and economic levels, underlining the historical relationships linking the two friend countries and peoples.
    This came when Sayyid Ammar Al Hakim was receiving His Excellency the Ambassador of Italy to Iraq, Massimo Maruti, in his office in Baghdad on Saturday, 14/9/2013.
    Were also discussed in the meeting the latest developments in the region.
    From his part, the Italian Ambassador highlighted the importance his country gives to mending fences with Iraq and having Italian companies collaborate in the reconstruction of Iraq, praising in the same time the role and efforts of Sayyid Ammar Al Hakim in bringing together the views of different players on Iraqi the political arena to ensure the stability and prosperity of Iraq.
