Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim Meets with Hashemi Rafsanjani
Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim, head of the Islamic Supreme Council of Iraq, congratulated the Iranian people for the successful presidential elections, appealing for enhancing the relations between Iraq and the Islamic Republic of Iraq in different domains.
This came during a meeting between Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim and Sheikh Hashemi Rafsanjani, chairman of the Expediency Discernment Council of the System in the Islamic Republic of Iran, held Saturday, 5/10/2013 in Tehran.
Sheikh Rafsanjani called for more unity between all the components of the Iraqi people, saying that there is too much in common between both countries' peoples to reinforce the relations between both countries, and denouncing the terrorist acts that target the Iraqi citizens and tend to destabilize Iraq. He also pointed out to the care of his country for the unity and stability of Iraq.
