Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim Receives the Deputy Assistant Secretary for Iraq, Brett McGurk
Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim, head of the Islamic Supreme Council of Iraq, received in his office in Baghdad on Thursday, 21/11/2013 the Deputy Assistant Secretary for Iraq, Brett McGurk, along with the Ambassador of the United States to Iraq, Beecroft.
During the meeting, they discussed the bilateral relations between both countries and the general political scene in Iraq, as well as the political developments on the regional arena. For his part, his Eminence reiterated the importance of supporting the democratic process in Iraq and the region.
