    During his Meeting with Muqtada al-Sadr, Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim Emphasizes the Need to Inject New Blood in the Political Process


    Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim, head of the Islamic Supreme Council of Iraq, stressed the importance of injecting new blood in the political process, confirming the need to hold the elections on time, calling for using clean means in the electoral competition away from political fraud.
    This came on Thursday, December 19, 2013 during his meeting with the leader of the Sadrist Movement, Sayyid Muqtada al-Sadr, at the Martyr of the Niche association in Najaf. 
    His Eminence underlined the importance of religious rituals and the commemoration of the 40th day of the martyrdom of Hussein, explaining that terrorism would only increase the attachment of believers to the imams of Ahl-al-Bayt. For his part, Sayyid al-Sadr affirmed that his meeting with Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim was fruitful where they discussed the elections and the developments of the political process as well as the developments in the region.
