    In his Meeting with the Head of the ICRC’s Delegation in Iraq, Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim Says, “Rehabilitating the Iraqi Citizens to Build Strong Community and State Are our Priority”


    Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim, head of the Islamic Supreme Council of Iraq, said rehabilitating the citizens is a priority of the Martyr of the Niche movement to build strong community and state, praising the role of the ICRC’s Delegation in Iraq in offering medical and in-kind aid to the hospitals and the patients residing therein, as well in providing  medical rehabilitation to those with special needs and visiting the prisoners.
    This came during a meeting between his Eminence, in his office in Baghdad on Thursday, February  20, 2014, and the Head of the ICRC’s Delegation in Iraq, Mr. Patrick Youssef. 
    For his part, Mr. Youssef said the delegation has two offices in Baghdad and Ramadi offering aid to the hospitals and the wounded, as well as visiting the prisoners. He also stated that there are support projects designed for the widows, orphans and farmers, pointing out to a direct coordination between the International Committee and the ministries of defense, of justice, of labor and of social affairs.
