    During His Meeting with the Sheikhs and Leaders of Al Mayyah Tribes in Baghad, Sayyid Ammar Al Hakim Encourages Large Participation in Elections and Good Selection of People Representatives

     
    The head of the Islamic Supreme Council of Iraq, Sayyid Ammar Al Hakim, called for a large participation in the coming parliamentary elections, hoping that the people would opt for a good selection of their representatives to ensure the country’s and citizens’ best interest. This came when his eminence was meeting with a group of sheikhs and leaders of Allah Mayyah/ Al Gharibat tribes in his office in Baghdad, on Sunday, April 6, 2014. His eminence stated that Iraq’s destiny of diversity and multiple religions, sects and nationalist affiliations requires that everyone keeps this harmonious social structure which preserves the unity of Iraq.
    The head of the Islamic Supreme Council of Iraq expressed his hope that the coming elections would lead us to a homogenous working team with a vision that guides the country towards achieving the national interest, peace and security for the country.
