The head of the Islamic Supreme Council of Iraq, Sayyid Ammar Al Hakim, assured that planning, institutional work and harmony among political forces will be our most important national duties in the coming phase. His eminence added that the trust granted by the people to us requires us to contribute to running the country, ensuring security, providing services and implementing the programs that we promised to our people. He stressed: We have a lot of work to do, many difficult tasks; and we all need to be as great as Iraq, its people and its history, underling the need to move quickly towards forming a true national government with a clear project, an action plan agreed on with other political forces and a strong homogeneous team.
From his part, Dr. Barham Salih highlighted during the meeting the close relationship that bonds the Arab and Kurd peoples, indicating that the Iraqi constitution is essential to solve the existing problems; it is a guarantee to give the Iraqis a homogeneous government that serves the aspirations of the people.
