Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim, head of the Islamic Supreme Council of Iraq, said the next government must be armed with the harmonious team, the clear vision and the agreed platform, considering the formation of the harmonious team from the main powers as the only way to end Iraq's crises on the security, development and service levels, while appreciating the six-figure turnout at the ballots.

This came during a meeting held between his Eminence in his office in Baghdad on Thursday May 15, 2014 and the head of the Iraqi National List, Mr. Ayad Allawi. Both sides discussed the general political scene and the current elections. For his part, Mr. Allawi praised the vision of his Eminence with respect to the formation of the National Alliance in institutional manner, considering this vision as the key to build Iraq. He also emphasized the need to promote the democratic orientation in the society and take Iraq and its people to a safe shore, confirming the agreement between his vision and that of the National Alliance to achieve a decent national partnership.
