Sayyid Ammar Al Hakim, head of the Islamic Supreme Council of Iraq, stressed the need to unify the national position regarding the challenges that Iraq is facing, mainly the terrorist attacks occurring in Iraqi provinces and cities, highlighting the importance of reinforcing the unity of the Iraqi people and put an end to everything that could dispel the unity and cohesion of the Iraqi components.
This came when Sayyid Ammar Al Hakim was receiving the Head of the Hal bloc, Jamal al-Karbouli, on Monday, June 9th, 2014 in his office in Baghdad.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed the political and security developments in the country, especially the criminal attacks recently perpetrated by Daesh and terrorist groups in Baghdad, Ninawa and Al Anbar. Both his eminence and Mr. Al Karbouli expressed the need to support the security forces in their fight against these terrorist groups. They also underlined the importance of launching a quick initiative to contain these serious repercussions.
For his part, Al Karbouli delivered to his eminence a letter that encloses an initiative developed by the union coalition to contain the security crisis and set forth adequate solutions.
