Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim, head of the Islamic Supreme Council of Iraq, gave credit to the Iraqi security forces in making progress and clearing the land from the impure terrorists, stressing the importance of cooperation and solidarity between all the Iraqi political powers in order to build a safe, stable and prosperous Iraq as well as the importance of a harmonious team with practical, well-defined vision to run the country and the success and progress of the political process.
This came in a meeting held between his Eminence in his office in Baghdad, on Monday, June 30, 2014 andMr. Ahmad Abdallah Jabbouri, governor of Saladin.
During the meeting, they discussed the situation in the country, particularly the last security events in Saladin and the amazing results achieved by the military forces in the field. They also dealt with the issue of the holding of the first meeting of the new parliament, where they agreed that each movement must run a candidate accepted by the other movements and coalitions.
