    During a Meeting with Basra Provincial Council Chief, Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim Calls for Enhancing Security and Undertaking Reconstruction in the Province

     
    Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim, head of the Islamic Supreme Council of Iraq, called for enhancing the security situation and filling the security gaps in Basra, stressing the importance of the reconstruction, the improvement of the services and the rehabilitation of the future projects' infrastructures in the province. He also underlined the necessity of cooperation and harmony between the political movements within the provincial council.
    This came during a meeting held between his Eminence on Saturday, October 11, 2014 at his office in Baghdad and the Basra Provincial Council chief, Mr. Sabah al-Bazzouni.
     
    For his part, the latter appreciated the efforts and follow-up of Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim for the overall situation in the province and urged the officials at the central government to support the local government in Basra so as to serve the interests of the citizens and maintain stability and security in the province.
