Sayyid Ammar Al Hakim, head of the Islamic Supreme Council of Iraq, met the Leader of the Islamic Revolution in Iran, Imam Khamenei, in the latter’s office in Iran on Sunday, January 4th, 2015.
His eminence discussed with the Imam the security and political developments in Iraq and the region, and examined the outcomes of Iraq’s openness to the neighboring countries and to the countries of the region and the world. Sayyid Ammar Al Hakim informed his eminence of the victories achieved by the popular crowd, the security forces and the Peshmerga over the ISIS gangs. He also praised the Islamic Republic’s stance supporting Iraq throughout its ordeal, reiterating that victory over ISIS is very near, unlike what some people might think about it taking years.
