    Sayyid Ammar Al Hakim Visits Grand Religious Authorities in Holy Qom

     
    In the context of his visit to the Islamic Republic of Iran, Sayyid Ammar Al Hakim, head of the Islamic Supreme Council of Iraq, visited Ayatollah Lotfollah Safi Golpaygani in the holy city of Qom, on Tuesday, January 6th, 2015.
    The two sides discussed the situation in Iraq and the region and the victories achieved by the security forces and the popular crowd against ISIS.
    For his part, Ayatollah Lotfollah Safi Golpaygani expressed his satisfaction with the victories and hoped that Iraq and the Iraqi people would overcome the ordeal it’s going through. He also lauded the participation of a million people in the Araba’een visit, which is a pride for Muslims, and praised the generosity of Iraqis towards foreign visitors coming to the holy shrines.
    In addition, Sayyid Ammar Al Hakim visited in the holy city of Qom, on Tuesday, January 6, 2015, Ayatollah Alwi Boroujerdi.
    During the meeting were discussed the situation in the Islamic world as Sayyid Ammar Al Hakim considered that the wise national positions of the religious authority in Iraq have made Western research centers pay great attention to the authentic Islamic thought and look for the strengths and creativity in this distinguished approach.
    For his part, Ayatollah Boroujerdi commended the proximity between the Iraqi government and the different forces and components in Iraq, stressing that cooperation between Iraq and Iran is for the interest of the countries of the Arab and Islamic world. He finally praised the role of Sayyid Ammar Al Hakim in the political process and the positive developments in Iraq.
