Sayyid Ammar Al Hakim, head of the Islamic Supreme Council of Iraq, visited Grand Ayatollah Sayyid Kazem Al Haeri in the holy city of Qom, on Tuesday, January 6th, 2015.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed the situation in the country and the victories achieved by the Iraqi people over the gangs of ISIS, where they stressed the need for cooperation and unity between Islamic countries to eradicate extremist groups that have prejudiced Islam and Muslims.
For his part, Sayyid Al Haeri highlighted the importance of strengthening the bonds of love and solidarity among all components of the Iraqi people to prevent the enemies of Iraq from reaching their goals. He finally expressed his hope of near victory over ISIS and establishment of security and peace in the region and the world.
