    During his Meeting with the Political and Ministerial Delegation of the Sadrist Movement, Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim Says It Is Important for the National Alliance to Play its Pivotal Role in Supporting the Government and the Political Process


    Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim, head of the Islamic Supreme Council of Iraq, said it is important for the national alliance to play its pivotal role in supporting the government and the political process, pointing out to the importance of the complementarity of the roles between the MPs and ministers among Al Ahrar and Al Muwattin blocs to serve the citizens and the country and to support the government in implementing its ministerial program.
    This came during a meeting held between his Eminence at his office in Baghdad on January 17, 2015, and the political and ministerial delegation of the Sadrist Movement.
    His Eminence also underlined the importance of putting into effect the resolutions that have resulted from the previous meetings of both blocs, of taking attitudes in coordination and of bringing closer the viewpoints so as to achieve the political process especially amidst the security and economic challenges Iraq faces and which are represented in the ISIS and the fall of the oil prices respectively, as well as the importance of exerting diligent efforts to ease the suffering of the displaced people.
    For his part, Mr. Baha Araji, head of Al-Ahrar Bloc, said during the meeting with Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim, they discussed the most urgent issues including that of the displaced people and the financial crisis and how to look for other sources to finance the budget, maintaining that the Iraqi citizens are Iraqi’s assets.
