    During a Meeting with Muqtada al-Sadr, Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim Says the Government’s Platform Is a Law, and not Mere Ideas and Conceptions, and Everyone Is Serious of Implementing It

     
    Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim, head of the Islamic Supreme Council of Iraq, said the talk about the government’s platform is not about ideas and conceptions, rather, the platform is now a law voted by the people’s representatives and at the Council of Ministers, explaining that everyone is serious about implementing it. According to him, the drop of the oil prices, the economic situation, and, previously, the security situation have been the main interest of officials. This came in a meeting between his Eminence and Sayyid Muqtada al-Sadr held on Friday, 23/1/2015, at the latter’s office in Najaf al-Ashraf.
    His Eminence discussed with Sayyid al-Sadr the developments of the security and political situations in Iraq, the institutionalization and reinforcement of the national alliance and the victories achieved by the Iraqi military against the ISIS, stressing the importance of building the security forces and of taking advantage of the popular crowd’s expertise.  He also stated that the Council of Representatives has high aspirations and there is seriousness in creating a state of harmony, citing the constructive visions and suggestions about the budget he has heard from the financial committee which is composed of all Iraqi segments.
    For his part, Sayyid Muqtada al-Sadr emphasized the importance of strengthening and institutionalizing the national alliance in such a way as to make it one united bloc where issues can be tackled through deliberations and in agreement, a task the incoming head of the national alliance is charged with.
