The Political Authority of the National Iraqi Alliance praises the results of Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim’s regional visits and discussed activating the work of the special committee of national settlement..

The Political Authority of the National Iraqi Alliance held its regular meeting Tuesday, 20.12.2016 and discussed important topics on the agenda.

The security topics of the meeting covered We Are Coming, Nineveh operations and the progress of operations and the advancement of security forces; the Iraqi army and Iraqi federal police, the popular mobilization forces and the tribal forces and the Peshmerga, and the observance of humanitarian status of the natives and displaced families from areas.

Meeting attendees also discussed regional visits conducted by the National Iraqi Alliance delegation to the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan and the Islamic Republic of Iran, and the support of neighboring countries to the National Settlement Bill put forward by the National Iraqi Alliance to officials of visited countries. The National Iraqi Alliance revealed plans for more visits to other regional countries.

Political Authority of the National Iraqi Alliance also drew the need to reach out local political powers and active national powers to actively participate in the political process.

National Iraqi Alliance also discussed the unfortunate events in the southern provinces of Iraq and attacks on public gatherings and national figures in attempts to sow discord and threat security and stability in stable provinces, the National Iraqi Alliance emphasized on previous demands to security forces to take the role in keeping the lives of citizens and secure public and private properties.

Meeting attendees also discussed continuing the construction of internal structure of the National Iraqi Alliance and further strengthening relations, unity and coordination of roles amongst its components.

Political Authority also called for the need to speed up nominating members of the Human Rights Commission and to perform the voting in the Iraqi House of Representatives. The National Iraqi Alliance supported the legitimate rights made by the Shabak, Faili Kurds and urged to follow-up on their rights in the Council of Ministers and the Iraqi House of Representatives to obtain their constitutional and legal rights.
