Sayyid Al-Hakeem calls to activate Iraqi-Saudi Joint Committees to strengthen joint interests
Sayyid Ammar Al-Hakeem, head of Al-Hikma National Movement, received the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to Iraq, His Excellency Mr. Abdulaziz Al-Shammari on 7/3/2023, and discussed bilateral ties between Baghdad and Riyadh in what serves the interests of the two countries and brotherly people.
His Eminence affirmed the importance of activating joint committees between the two countries and investing in the wishes of both countries to open up to each other as well as strengthening mutual interests.
H.E. illustrated that Iraq is open to everyone, especially the neighboring Arab and Islamic countries, and builds its relations based on mutual interest and the preservation of its sovereignty. It seeks to converge the views of the factions of the region on what serves their homeland and empowers their people to benefit from their goods.
Internationally, H.E. called for everyone to take part in stopping the language of war and disputes and replacing it with dialogue, partnership, and managing power. H.E. held every one, starting with the countries with influence and civil society, responsible for reaching a safe world free of wars and conflicts.
H.E. indicated the environmental reality in Iraq and the region and illustrated that the region suffers from environmental crises and intense climate change. Therefore, calling to bring the efforts of the affected countries together and exchange expertise to eliminate this phenomenon.
